Role Description
 

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechatronics Engineer at AQL Robotics labs in Tampere. The role involves designing robotic systems, acutators, creating prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop cutting edge products.

Required Qualifications
 

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Fusion 360).

  • Strong knowledge of materials, 3d printing, machining, and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to design for assembly, reliability, and manufacturability.

  • Ability to move fast and take ownership.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Work effectively in a cross-functional, international team environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Finnish is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Design: Advanced proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360 or similar) and mechanical design.

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with additive manufacturing and machining processes (3D printing, CNC machining,...).

  • Robotics & Automation: Hands-on experience designing and building components such as actuators, grippers, and robotic arms. Relevant experience in other, related fields, is also valued.

  • Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of mechanics, kinematics, and control systems.
